1. Product Introducation:
The evacuated tube system for blood collection in use for various
laboratory tests consists of tubes of various sizes, with color
coded tops indicating tube contents.
Most blood collection tubes contain an additive that either
accelerates clotting of the blood (clot activator) or prevents the
blood from clotting (anticoagulant).
Heparin Tube Usage:
Applying to clinical biochemistry, blood specimen collection for
emergency biochemical tests and anticoagulation(blood rheology measurement, biochemical test, genetic diagnosis,
enzymology, enzyme immunoassay, etc.)
Heparin tubes are coated with spray-dried lithium heparin or sodium
heparin, They are used for collecting blood specimen for
biochemistry tests and some test items in blood rheology. The
anticoagulants heparin activates anti-thrombins, thus blocking the
coagulation cascade of the blood specimen producing a whole blood/
plasma sample instead of clotted blood plus serum
This less commonly used bottle is for biochemistry tests which
require heparinised plasma or whole blood for analysis.
